Spay & Neuter Grant Programs
Hamlett has several grant programs that help defray the cost of surgery for clients in need of assistance. These include:

Below you will find a description of each program and a link to apply online. You can also come to the clinic for a hard copy application. Once your application is submitted, please be aware of our timeline for processing:

Please allow 2 to 3 business days (our business days are Tuesday through Friday) from the date of receipt for us to review your application.

Our team will contact you directly regarding the status of your application once the review is complete.
Household Limits: Both the SNFFS and SNIPCS programs have maximum of two animals per household per year.

Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Fund
To ensure our grant programs are used effectively, please review our specific guidelines regarding feral cats:
Eligibility Requirements

Feral Status: Hamlett will only perform spay or neuter services under this specific program for cats that cannot be picked up or touched.

Tame Strays: If a cat is a tame stray, the caregiver is responsible for the full cost of the sterilization—there are no exceptions.
Defining "Feral"
For the purposes of our clinic and program eligibility, we define a feral cat as:

An animal born outside.
-
An animal living in a wild state.

An animal that is completely untouchable by human hands.

SNFFS
Spay and Neuter Surgery Free For Seniors (SNFFS)
Our SNFFS program is designed to help our senior community members care for their companion pets by providing spay and neuter surgeries for qualifying individuals at no cost.
Program Details

Eligibility: Open to pet owners 65 years of age and older.

Annual Limit: This program is limited to two animals per household, per calendar year.

Application Requirement: An application must be completed and approved before you can schedule your surgery.

To qualify for the program, please be prepared to provide:

Valid Photo ID: To verify age and residency.

Proof of Income: Required for application approval

What is Free: The surgical procedure itself is provided at no cost.

Owners are responsible for the cost of vaccinations, pain medication, and any unforeseen complications.

Payment Policy: Payment for these additional services is due in full at the time of service.

SNIPCS
Spay and Neuter Incentive for Colorado Springs (SNIPCS)
The SNIPCS program offers subsidized spay and neuter services for qualifying residents of Colorado Springs.
Program Details

Copay Requirement: A copay is required for the routine spay or neuter procedure.

Annual Limit: This incentive is limited to two animals per household, per calendar year.

Application Process: Clients must fill out and submit an application for approval before an appointment can be scheduled.

The SAM FUND
The Hamlett Spay & Neuter Clinic is proud to offer the SAM FUND, established in honor of our previous Executive Director, Sandra "Sam" Moe.
Military Discount Program
Through this fund, we are able to extend a special discount to those who serve or have served our country.
Who is Eligible? The SAM FUND is available to:

Veterans and those with any prior service
How to Redeem
To receive the military discount, please present one of the following forms of identification at the time of service:
